The MO Hunting application provides a convenient and efficient solution for Missouri hunters, anglers, and trappers. This app allows users to purchase, view, and store annual hunting, fishing, and trapping permits, as well as access permit details from the previous year. With an easy-to-use form, hunters can now notch their permit and telecheck their harvest directly within the application. Additionally, hunters can review a comprehensive history of all previously checked deer and turkey, along with associated details.

To access the MO Hunting app, users will need their Conservation Number. This 9-digit number can be found on the back of their Heritage Card, next to the barcode. It is important to note that this number is different from the 16-digit number on the front of the card. The Conservation Number can also be found on any current or previous permit. For further assistance in locating the Conservation Number, users can reach out to (573) 751-4115 during regular business hours or visit http://mdc.mo.gov/node/5127.

It's crucial to comply with the Wildlife Code of Missouri, effective July 1, 2015. Hunters, anglers, and trappers are now required to carry either a signed hard copy or an electronically signed digital copy of the prescribed permit while actively engaged in their respective activities. The signed paper or digital copy of the permit must be exhibited upon request by any enforcement officer, transportation company, or postal employee handling wildlife for shipment.

Even with the convenience of the MO Hunting app, it is still necessary to immediately notch the month and date of harvest on your permit after harvesting a deer or turkey. This can now be done within the app itself. Telechecking your harvest is also essential and must be completed by 10:00 pm on the day of harvest or before leaving the state. Remember to record the Telecheck confirmation number on your voided permit.
